The Sindh government has decided to observe a 'day of mourning' today on her sad demise.

Karachi: The funeral prayer of Bilquis Bano Edhi has been offered after Namaz-e-Zohar at New Memon Masjid Bolton Market, Karachi on Saturday (today).
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah along with members of his cabinet attend Namaz-e-Janaza.
The government of Sindh expressing deep grief and sorrow on the sad demise of Bilquis Bano Edhi has announced one day mourning in the province today.
Strict security arrangements were made for the funeral which was attended by leaders of various political parties and other famous personalities.
Bilquis Bano Edhi passed away at the age of 74 after a brief hospitalisation. She was admitted to a hospital in Karachi for three days and was rushed there after her blood pressure had suddenly dropped.
She is survived by four children, Faisal, Kubra, Zeenat and Almas.
Bilquis Edhi—the Mother of Pakistan— was awarded several national and foreign awards including the Hilal-e-Imtiaz, the Lenin Peace Prize, Mother Teresa Memorial International Award for Social Justice (2015), and the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Public Service in 1986.
