IHC seeks details of foreign gifts received by Imran Khan
The court also directed to recover all foreign gifts presented to government officials in past 20 years.
Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday directed concerned authorities to provide details of the gifts received by former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
IHC Judge Justice Gul Hassan Aurangzeb whilst hearing a case regarding Toshakhana today said the Cabinet Division is bound to provide the information.
“Present details of all foreign gifts retained by former PM Imran Khan in next hearing,” the IHC said while issuing directives to deputy attorney general.
Assistant Attorney General Atiqur Rehman Siddiqui requested time to respond after which the court adjourned the hearing for two weeks.
Notably, the Information Commission had directed the Prime Minister to provide the details of the gifts received from the treasury to the citizen and the Cabinet Division has filed a petition against the decision which was heard by Justice Mian Gul Hassan of Islamabad High Court.
The court also directed to recover all foreign gifts presented to government officials in past 20 years.
