Two soldiers martyred in crossfire with terrorists in South Waziristan: ISPR
The area clearance is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area
South Waziristan: Two soldiers were martyred in crossfire with security forces in in Sararogha area of South Waziristan district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
Accoridng to a statement issued by the military's media wing, security forces initiated a prompt response after some terrorists came face to face.
However, during intense exchange of fire, two soldiers, having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat.
The martyred are Lance Naik Umar Ali Khan (age 26 years, resident of Bannu) and Sepoy Muhammad Siraj ud Din (age 23 years, resident of DI Khan).
Accoridng to ISPR, area clearance is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.
"Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve," the statement concludes.
