Punjab announces summer vacations from July 1.


Lahore: The Punjab Education Department (PED) on Wednesday announced summer vacations and a new academic session schedule for all public and private schools.
According to a notification issued by Punjab School Education Department, summer break is beginning from June 1 and the new academic year 2022-23 will be commenced from August 1.
An official notification, in this regard, will issued next week.
Keeping in view the intense heat that has gripped the country, the department has directed that all school administrations provide summer vacation work to students by May 31.
During the summer vacation, the new curriculum will be distributed to students in government schools. The summer vacation notification will be sent out next week.
The education department also directed the educational institutes to announce examination results from grade 1 to grade 8 before May 31.
Moreover, the new syllabus will distributed among the students of government schools during summer vacations.
