The reference was heard by the judge of the accountability court, Muhammad Bashir.
Islamabad: An Islamabad-based accountability court on Wednesday issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, after he failed to turn up for several court hearings during a reference against his assets beyond means.
During the proceedings, the court barred trial against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader until Dar is detained. The hearing, however, has been adjourned for an indefinite period.
The reference was heard by the judge of the Accountability Court, Muhammad Bashir.
The accountability court judge remarked that the proceedings will not go forward unless Ishaq Dar is presented before the court.
During the hearing, NAB prosecutor Afzal Qureshi, and co-accused appeared before the court.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused has been issued passport in Islamabad on April 27.
Ishaq has left Pakistan four years ago and is wanted in multiple cases.
