“I will remain in this post”

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz on Thursday claimed that he does not have a cabinet even after a month and a half of becoming the CM.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore’s Model Town, the Punjab chief minister said, “It has been a month and a half that there is no governor in the province. It has been a month and a half that I do not have a cabinet.”
He also accused Imran Khan of playing with the fate of people for four years, adding that people had to stand in long queues for the purchase of sugar which went scarce due to his poor policies.
He also blamed Imran Khan for spreading chaos under the guise of politics, questioning, “What does Imran Khan want to do with the country?”
He said, “I tell the people not to follow this imposter. He has not yet been able to answer his theft of Tosha Khana.”
He also alleged that Imran Khan was showing hostility towards Pakistan, asking the people to keep a close eye on him.
“If the court had not opened at 12 o'clock at night, the country would have become a banana republic by now,” said the chief minister.
Hamza Shehbaz lamented that people had been facing a great deal of inconvenience due to inflation for the last four years, adding that the dollar touched the Rs200 mark due to Imran Khan.
“We have purchased wheat of 4.5 Million. The price of a flour bag of 10kg will be available at Rs490. I will always stand with the people of Punjab,” vowed Hamza.
Hamza Shehbaz said that cheaper flour will be available across Punjab. The CM also announced that 10kg flour bag will be available in Punjab for Rs490 from today.
He added that the government had collected a one-year stock of wheat, adding that the wheat was purchased from farmers at Rs2,200 per 40kg.
“I will remain in this post as long as Allah wills,” said the CM, adding that officers in police and other departments would be appointed on merit.
He also flayed President Arif Alvi and former Punjab governor Umar Sarfraz Cheema for violating the Constitution.
