Two soldiers martyred in crossfire with terrorists in North Waziristan: ISPR
The suspects opened fire at a military check post


North Waziristan: Two soldiers faced martyrdom after security officials deployed at a check post were attacked by a group of terrorists in tehsil Mir Ali of North Waziristan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to a statement, the security officials traded fire with the suspects.
The firing left soldiers Zahoor Khan and Raheem Gull martyred. According to the ISPR, a clearance operation has been launched to track down and arrest the suspects.
PM strongly condemns terror attack
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan.
He appreciated the brave officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army for giving a befitting response to the terrorists and paid tribute to sepoys Zahoor and Raheem who sacrificed their lives while defending the motherland.
The prime minister expressed condolence over the loss of life and sympathized with the bereaved families.
He said the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism was a golden chapter of history.
The prime minister also prayed for peace of the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to bear the loss.
