'I apologise for police raid on Justice Nasira Javed's residence': Khawaja Asif
The defence minister tendered apology during the National Assembly session

Islamabad: PML-N leader and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Tuesday tendered apology over police raid at the residence of Senator Justice (retired) Nasira Javed.
Speaking on the floor of the house in the Ntaional Assembly, he said the sanctity of privacy of the people must not be compromised.
Asif was of the view that the criticism shouldn't be "selected" while referring to the raid on 'PTI dissident] MNA Noor Alam's house in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
"Who dared to criticise the raid on Alam's house," Asif questioned.
He said when the parliamentary lodges were attacked and MNAs were picked, the conscience of no one was awakened.
The PML-N leader said everyone had right to protest, but it didn't mean that a cosntitutional government be shaken.
He said the vally of Kashmir had been turned to a jail.
Meanwhile, the Lower House apporved a resolution presented by Khawaja Asif in favour of Huryat leader Yaseen Malik.
