JI chief announces train march against anti-people's budget, interest-based economy
Emir Sirajul Haq warns the government to accept the demands of masses or get ready to go home

Lahore: Rejecting the federal budget as anti-people and non-implementation on the decision of the Federal Shariah Court, Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq has announced the train march against the government.
“We had demanded the government take steps to abolish interest-based economy as per direction of the Shariah Court and in light of the guidelines set in the Constitution of Pakistan. We had asked them to take visible steps to end inflation. But the government failed to meet the expectations of the people. The JI will not sit silent now against the anti-poor policies of the rulers and launch the train march on June 26-27 towards Islamabad,” he announced while addressing public rally at The Mall on Saturday.
He warned the government accept the demands of the masses or get ready to go home.
Sirajul Haq said the JI had already warned that the incumbent government would continue the policies of the PTI regime. It had been proved the three main parties were sides of the same coin and they had nothing to do with the welfare of the people, he added. The country could not go forward in presence of the corrupt system and their protectors, he said.
People, he added, must stand for their rights as their betterment linked to the Islamic system. The JI, he said, wanted to give the country Islamic model of economy. If voted to power, he said, the JI will transform Pakistan into an Islamic welfare state.
Talking about the blasphemous remarks about the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in India by the spokespersons of the India’s ruling party Bharatya Janta Party, he demanded expulsion of Indian diplomates from the country.
“Pakistani government sever all kind of diplomatic and trade ties with India. We appeal to the rulers of Muslim nations to buycott Indian products till the India’s Prime Minister Modi publiclyannounce apology on the remarks by his colleagues. The BJP politicians involved in the blasphemy should be punished for hurting the emotions of millions of Indian Muslims and entire Ummah,” he said.
He also criticized the silence and soft stance of the government against India. He said past and incumbent rulersfailed to represent the emotions of Pakistani nation, adding the government made a full surrender before New Delhi.
The JI chief said Muslims were being victimized in over India, where incidents of mosques’ desecration had become common and the doors of educational institutions were being shut over Muslim girls for wearing Hijab.
He said India became a worst place for living for minorities and particularly for Muslims, criticizing the silence of western powers, UNO and human rights organizations overrights abuses under BJP government.
He demanded Muslim rulers convenethe OIC session to discuss the issue and devise a strategy. He said Muslim rulers must represent the feelings of Ummah and should not portray a coward stance before New Delhi.
Announcing the JI would not sit silent over the criminal act of the BJP politicians, he said the countrywide protests will be held for the protection of the honor of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
He said the JI would raise the voice against victimization of Muslims and blasphemous acts of Hindutva mobs under the patronage of the ruling BJP at every forum of the world.
