President expresses grief over shahadat of sepoy in North Waziristan
25-year-old Shahzaib Imtiaz sacrifices his life while fighting bravely
Islamabad: President Dr Arif Alvi Sunday expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the death of sepoy Shahzaib Imtiaz who embraced shahadat during an exchange of firing with terrorists in Dattakhel, North Waziristan.
The president said that the entire nation was united in the fight against terrorism and expressed the resolve that fight against this scourge would continue till its complete elimination.
Paying tribute to Imtiaz’s great sacrifice, the president also prayed for the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.

Earlier today, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that a soldier of the armed forces of Pakistan embraced martyrdom during an exchange of fire with terrorists in the Data Khel area of North Waziristan.
According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the fire exchange between Army troops and the terrorists took place in the general area Datta Khel area of North Waziristan District.
Army troops fought bravely and effectively engaged the location of the terrorists.
The ISPR statement, however, said during the intense exchange of fire 25-year-old Sepoy Shahzaib Imtiaz, resident of Kotli Sattian, having fought gallantly embraced Shahadat (martyrdom).
An area clearance is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the region, the ISPR statement concluded.
