Islamabad: Pakistan is experiencing third wave of coronavirus which is said to be more contagious and deadlier than previous two waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3449 cases of coronavirus were reported while 40 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 13,757.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 619,259.
As many as 578,314 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,064 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 193,054 in the province with 5,919 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 262,503 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,473.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 77972 in the province with 2,196 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 19,290 confirmed cases while 202 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 11,377 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 328. On the other hand, there are 4,976 cases in GB with 103 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 50,096 cases in the capital city while 536 people have lost their lives.
