Islamabad: Current spell of intermittent monsoon rains is expected to pour in different parts of the country for the next four to five days.
Director-General Metrological Department Mahr Sahibzad Khan said that on the first day of the spell maximum 81-millimeter of rain was recorded in Jhang district while in Islamabad it was 35mm.
The Director-General said this rainy spell will lower the temperatures across the country, defusing the effects of the heatwave.
He also warned of urban flooding in different parts of the country, therefore, precautionary measures should be taken in this regard.
