Imran Riaz Khan's arrest: Rawalpindi court sends case back to Attock
Khan was arrested by Attock police yesterday in connection with a treason case
Rawalpindi: A local court, while announcing the verdict in the Imran Riaz Khan case, sent the case back to Attock court on Wednesday.
FIA Special Court Magistrate Muhammad Pervez Khan in Rawalpindi, while delivering a safe verdict in the case of senior journalist Imran Riaz Khan, sent the case back to the Attock court.
Magistrate Muhammad Pervez Khan said the case was not within the jurisdiction of this court and the decision to dismiss Imran Riaz's bail or dismissal of the case could be taken by the Attock court.
According to media reports, the special court had ordered to produce Imran Riaz Khan in the Attock court today.
Earlier, Special Court Magistrate Pervez Khan had said that he was an FIA magistrate and that Allah Almighty had given him the judge's chair.
It may be recalled that senior anchor person Imran Riaz Khan was arrested by Attock police yesterday. Police said that an FIR has been registered against Imran Riaz in Attock.
Imran Riaz Khan was produced by the police in the local court of Attock on which the local court in its decision had said that the case does not fall under the jurisdiction of the court, the police should present the accused in the relevant court of Rawalpindi.
