At least four dead after monsoon rains cause devastation in Sindh, Balochistan
Monsoon rains have so far killed 17 people in largest city of the country

Karachi/Quetta: At least four people lost their life as heavy rainfall coupled with strong winds and thunderstorms lashed Karachi and other areas of Sindh on Saturday.
Increasing fears of urban flooding as the monsoon system across the country has intensified.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), heavy showers lashed DHA, Clifton, II Chundrigar Road, Ibrahim Hyderi, Korangi, Saddar, Sharae Faisal, Malir, and Stargate after 10am today. The monsoon rains flooded the Korangi nullah after which the EBM Causeway was closed for traffic.
Korangi Industrial Area police said Abdul Khaliq, 28, was the owner of a restaurant in Mehran Town. He suffered an electric shock and died when he tried to change a lightbulb inside the restaurant.
Police surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed said that a 30-year-old man, Abdul Ghaffar, was electrocuted in Baldia’s Swat Colony. She said another man, identified as Inayatullah, 22, was electrocuted in Sohrab Goth near Al Asif Square.
According to Sohrab Goth police, Inayatullah was a waiter at a restaurant. He was climbing a staircase when he slipped.
Police said Inayatullah tried to stand up by touching a wall, where an electric board had current coursing through it, and suffered an electric shock, causing his death.
Monsoon rains have so far killed 17 people in teh city of Quaid-i-Azam.
Rehman, 20, was electrocuted in the Garden Show Market area of Karachi, while a 23-year-old rival was electrocuted in Manghopir. A 38-year-old woman was electrocuted in Landhi Mansehra Colony while Abdul Khaliq Jan, 25, lost his hand while working in Korangi Mehran Town.
In addition, a child, identified as 13-year-old Muzammil son of Muzaffar, was electrocuted inside a house in Arsalan Homes, North Karachi.
An elderly man was electrocuted by a water motor inside a house near Korangi 100 Quarters, while a 15-year-old boy was electrocuted near a PSO pump in Muhammad Ali Society.
In Balochistan, 60 people have been killed so far in the rains, while the PDMA has forecast more rains. The spell of monsoon rains in Balochistan is likely to continue after July 10, while the people are dissatisfied with the government's activities.
