PML-N fielded Fida Hussain, while PTI gave the ticket to Aftab Mehmood in the constituency

Bahawalnagar: PML-N candidate has remained successfull in PP-237 Bahawalnagar by-elections, unofficial and unconfiirmed results suggested.
According to the unofficial results, PML-N's Fida Hussain Watto got 61,248 votes against PTI's Syed Aftab Raza who bagged 25,227 votes.
In the 2018 general elections, independent candidate Fida Hussain defeated Muhammad Tariq Usman of PTI, and later joined PTI through Jahangir Tareen Khan.
