PM Shehbaz Sharif lauds security forces for successful operation against terrorists in Kech

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday lauded the security forces for carrying out a successful operation against terrorists in district Kech, Balochistan.
The prime minister also condoled the death of Havaldar Hidayatullah from Lakki Marwat, who embraced shahadat during the operation. The entire nation saluted the sacrifices of its shuhada, he added.
The prime minister expressed sympathies with the bereaved family of late Havaldar.
He also prayed for the speedy recovery of Naek Wazir Muhammad who was injured during the operation.
On Friday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that security forces killed six terrorists during an operation conducted by security forces in the general area of Hoshab, district Kech of Balochistan.
In a brief statement, the military’s media wing said the operation was conducted on information regarding the movement of a terrorist group on motorcycles towards Panjgur from Kech.
"Security forces immediately cordoned the area and started a search operation to apprehend the terrorists," the ISPR said, adding that once surrounded, the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on security forces.
The ISPR mentioned that a heavy exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces and a large cache of arms and ammunition has been recovered.
"During engagement, Havaldar Hidayat Ullah (belongs to Lakki Marwat) embraced shahadat while Naik Mir Muhammad (belongs to Waziristan) got injured," the military’s media wing added.
