PM again directs NDMA, PDMAs to jointly carry out rescue, relief operations in flood hit areas

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has once again directed National Disaster Management Authority and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities to jointly carry out rescue and relief operations in flood-hit areas more effectively.
He gave these directions in a follow-up meeting regarding the relief work in the flood-affected areas in Lahore on Saturday.
Earlier, in a statement, Prime Minister said that a relief fund for assistance and rehabilitation of flood-affected people has been established.
He made a fervent appeal to the people, especially the philanthropists, to generously help the people affected by the floods. He said despite the difficult economic situation, the government immediately released five billion rupees for the flood victims.
He said the cash assistance for the flood victims can be deposited in Prime Minister's Relief Fund 2022 Account No. 'G-12164'
