Islamabad: An Islamabad court on Friday sent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill to jail on judicial remand, rejecting a plea by the police seeking an extension in his physical remand.
According to details, Shahbaz Gill was produced before the District and Sessions Court by the Kohsar Police after the completion of his two-day physical remand.
During the hearing, the police requested for an extension in Gill's remand.
However, the court rejected the plea and granted a judicial remand of the PTI leader.
It is worth noting that the PTI leader was arrested on sedition charges by Kohsar Police on August 9 for allegedly making anti-military comments.
