India and Afghanistan had lost their respective matches in the Super Four stage

India easily defeated Afghanistan by 101 runs in their last match in the Super Four stage of the ongoing Asia Cup T20 tournament in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday.
In pursuit of India's target of 213 runs, the Afghanistan team scored 111 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
India scored 212 for the loss of 2 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, Virat Kohli scored a magnificent 122 not out. This is Kohli's 71st career century and first Twenty International century.
Kohli last scored a century on November 23, 2019 in a Test match against Bangladesh.
Apart from this, captain KL Rahul was dismissed for 62 and Surya Kumar Yadav scored 6 runs.
In the match being played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi won the toss and invited India to bat.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma is not playing today's match, vice-captain KL Rahul will lead the Indian team in his place.
On the occasion of the toss, KL Rahul said that Rohit is not available for today's match due to rest. 3 changes have been made in the Indian team.
It should be noted that Afghanistan and India are already out of the race for the finals.
Yesterday, Pakistan qualified for the final by defeating Afghanistan after an interesting match. With the victory of the green shirts, the Sri Lankan team, who won both their matches in the Super Four stage and got 4 points, also made it to the final.
