Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Tuesday on a busy day met four foreign envoys from China, European Union (EU), Denmark, and Canada.

According to ISPR, the Ambassador of China to Pakistan Nong Rong called on COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ.
“During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, progress on CPEC and regional security were discussed. The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan's sincere efforts for bringing peace and stability in the region, especially the Afghan Peace Process,” the Military media cell stated.
The army chief thanked the dignitary for China's contribution towards the fight against COVID-19 in Pakistan and said that Pakistan Army greatly values its friendly relations with China, ISPR added.
Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid, Director General Inter-Services Intelligence was also present during the meeting.
In the other meeting, Her Excellency Mrs Androulla Kaminara –Ambassador of European Union (EU), Her Excellency Ms Wendy Gilmour – Canadian High Commissioner & Her Excellency Ms Lis Rosenholm, Ambassador of Denmark met General Bajwa at GHQ.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security and enhanced bilateral cooperation with the European Union (EU) and Canada came under discussion, the military's media wing added.
COAS said that Pakistan values its relations with EU countries & Canada and we earnestly look forward to enhancing mutually beneficial multi-domain relations based on common interests, the ISPR said.
“The visiting dignitaries also appreciated Pakistan’s role in regional stability, especially the Afghan Peace Process. All sides pledged to play their role for further improvement in diplomatic cooperation at all levels,” the statement added.
