UAE doctors arrive in Karachi to look after ailing Zardari
The former president is under treatment at a private hospital
Karachi: Three-member medical team from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) arrived in Karachi on Tuesday to look after ailing Asif Ali Zardari.
The condition of former president and PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, who has been admitted to Ziauddin hospital for the last few days, is said to be "deteriorated" today.
Doctors will decide whether Zardari be shifted to a hospital outside Pakistan.
Sources told GNN that a team of doctors had been brought to Pakistan via a chartred plane.
Later, the doctors, who are said to be heart specialists, examined Zardari and expressed satisfaction over the ongoing treatment. Sources further said the medical experts opined that the PPP leader should be treated in Pakistan for the time being.
Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari was also present at the time the doctors performed medial check up on Zardari.
