Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Chehre’ release postponed amid spike in COVID-19 cases
New Dehli: The upcoming Indian film ‘Chehre’ starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in the lead, has been postponed until further notice amid the deadly surge in coronavirus outbreak.

The film’s trailer received a positive response from the audience and was expected to hit the screens on April 9, 2021. However due to the spike in novel coronavirus cases in country, the makers of film have released a statement in this regard and decided to postpone the release.
The statement read as, “Due to the rising cases of COVID 19 and new guidelines for cinemas, we are unable to release our movie Chehre on 9th April and have decided to postpone until further notice”.
“We have received an overwhelming response on our trailer and we are grateful for all the love and support. We have decided to bring Chehre to audience theatrically when the environment is more conducive for the experience,” the statement added.
Emraan Hashmi on his official twitter handle shared the news and expressed concern over public health and urged fans to take precautionary measure.
The 42-year old wrote, “The well-being of our very own audience is of utmost importance to us. We are extremely humbled by the love and support that we have received this far”.
He further added, “See you in the cinemas soon. Until then, stay safe!”
