Mainly dry weather likely to prevail in most parts of country: PMD

Islamabad: Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts, while hot and dry in southern parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

However, rain/wind-thunderstorm is likely in Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and northeast Punjab during evening/ night.

Temperatures of some major cities recorded this morning: Islamabad eighteen degree centigrade, Lahore twenty-four, Karachi twenty-six, Peshawar nineteen, Quetta eight, Gilgit nine, Murree fourteen and Muzaffarabad fifteen degree centigrade.

According to Met Office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy weather with chances of rain-wind and thunderstorm is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula. Temperature recorded this morning: Srinagar, Anantnag and Shopian twelve degree centigrade, Jammu twenty-two, Leh four, Pulwama and Baramula eleven degree centigrade.
