The greenback closed at Rs219.71
Karachi: The Pak rupee continued depriciating against the US dollar on Tuesday as the local currency lost 82 paisa in the interbank trade.
The greenback closed at Rs219.71 today against Rs218.89 on Monday, depriciating 0.37 per cent, the State Bank of Pkaistan said.
The greenback has been appreciating against t he local currency for last five consecutive sessions.

In the open market, the dollar also gained 50 paisa against the local currency and closed at Rs226.20.
The dollar is gaining its value in the wake of increased demand from the importers. The State Bank of Pakistan has also started to clear the pending letters of credit.
