CM Buzdar lauds service of paramedical staff, doctors during COVID-19 situation
Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday has stated that more vaccination centers for the anti-Covid-19 vaccine inoculation are being established in the province to accelerate the process.
While talking to media persons in Lahore, he said coronavirus infection rate during the third wave has reached 12 percent in the province.
Moreover, he also appreciated the service of paramedical staff and doctors during coronavirus outbreak in country.
He also announced partial lockdown in seven cities of Punjab from today.
Buzdar further said that coronavirus positivity rate in some cities of the province is over 12 percent and urged people to take precautionary measures.
The number of active corona cases in the province is more than 26,000, and 64 deaths occurred in 24 hours.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), Pakistan today reported around 4,974 cases of coronavirus.
As many as, 98 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 14,530. The total number of confirmed cases reached to 672,931.
As many as 605,274 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,303 critical cases.
