The yellow metal settled at Rs147,700 per tola in price

Karachi: Gold shined in the local bullion markets on Monday, gaining Rs1,300 per tola.
Cumulatively, the precious commodity has lost Rs950 per tola during the week ending October 22.
According to the Sindh Sarafa Bazar Jewellers Association, the gold price jumped Rs1,300 to settle at Rs147,700 per tola, while 10 grams gold also gained Rs1,115 in price and settled at Rs126,629 per 10 grams.
In the international market, the precious commodity gained $11 in price and settled at $1,647 per ounce.
The price of gold apparently witnessed an increase in the wake of fast approaching wedding season.
