The local currency closed at Rs221.66 against the greenback

Karachi: The Pakistani rupee appreciated against the US dollar on the first trading day on Monday, gaining 26 paisa against the greenback in the interbank market.
According to the State Bnak of Pakistan (SBP), the dollar weakened 26 paisa against the local currency and closed at Rs221.66.

The local unit was closed at Rs221.92 on Friday.
In the open markert, the rate of dollar remained the same at Rs227.75.
