COVID-19: Sachin Tendulkar admitted to hospital
Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has been admitted to hospital as a preventive measure a few days after he tested positive for COVID.
On Friday, Tendulkar on Twitter said that “he has been hospitalised for abundant precaution under medical advice,”
Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone.

Wishing all Indians & my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup 🇮🇳 win.
According to Indian media, Sachin Tendulkar, 47, had been in quarantine at home for the first six days after he fell victim to COVID-19.
On Saturday, March 28, Tendulkar had informed that he tested positive for coronavirus and added that all other members at his home had returned a negative COVID result.

"I hope to be back home in a few days, take care and be safe," he said.
Former Pakistan skipper and pace bowling legend Wasim Akram on Friday wished Sachin Tendulkar a speedy recovery after the latter was shifted to the hospital,

Tendulkar also wished his fans on the 10th anniversary of India’s historic 2011 World Cup triumph.
“Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone. Wishing all Indians & my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup win,” he wrote.
Many fans of the great Indian batsman had prayed for his speedy recovery on social media.
Sachin Tendulkar recently took the field leading the India Legends team in a promotional event called Road Safety World Series which was held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Yousuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan also participated in the Road Safety World Series and their Corona tests were also positive.
Sachin Tendulkar's home state of Maharashtra has more than 43,000 cases and 249 deaths.
Meanwhile, the cricketer is also preparing to celebrate his 48th birthday next month.
