Faisalabad: Punjab government has failed to save the citizens from risks posed by kite string as a young man has been killed after the string slit his throat here on Saturday.

According to details, the man known as Zeeshan was on his way back to home on a motorcycle when a kite string fell on him, slitting his throat in factory area. He died on the spot.
After getting information of the incident, rescue personnel reached the spot and shifted the body to a nearby hospital.
The deceased was returning home after dropping his brother in a nearby factory.
Earlier in January, the Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar imposed a complete ban on Basant festival across the province.
