Khairpur: “If opposition parties do not continue to work together then Imran Khan will benefit,” Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said while talking to media in Khairpur.

Reiterating his party’s desire for all opposition parties to stick together, the PPP chairman stated that the opposition should work together and target Prime Minister Imran Khan “to achieve success”. Pointing out that “false accusations” would not benefit anyone, Bilawal Bhutto said that “the rest of the opposition is doing opposition against opposition”.
Despite the reconciliatory tone, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari defended his party at a time when the PPP is at the center of a storm that is being speculated to have the power to break up Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), a ten-member opposition alliance. “We have befitting replies for all their allegations but we don’t want to do that,” he said in a veiled reference to Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N). In a pointed jab at Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Bilawal also stated that the head of PDM should not have praised just one particular party. “It is his duty that he should keep PDM united,” Bilawal said, “PPP does not do politics of deals,” he said.
“We were happy at their success and they should be happy at ours,” he emphasized, adding that not every opportunity is right for politics of extremes. “Decisions should be made calmly and seriously,” he stated.
Targeting the government for its “failed policies”, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that it has no solution for the people’s problems. He also criticized the federal government’s plans for State Bank of Pakistan.
