Islamabad: Pakistan on Monday reported 4,323 new Covid-19 cases and 43 deaths, with authorities linking the uptick in numbers to the third wave of the deadly outbreak across the country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,323 cases of coronavirus were reported while 43 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 14,821.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 692231.
As many as 615,960 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,587 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 233,348 in the province with 6,587 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 266,378 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,509.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 91,431 in the province with 2,440 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 19,734 confirmed cases while 211 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 13,321 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 364. On the other hand, there are 5,052 cases in GB with 103 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 60,911 cases in the capital city while 579 people have lost their lives.
