PM lays foundation stone of Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway
The project will be completed in a short period of thirty months under ‘Public Private Partnership’.
Sukkur: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation stone of Sukkur-Hyderabad motorway M-16 at Sukkur on Tuesday.
The 306 kms Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M-6) is the last part of Peshawar Karachi Motorway after which all major and important cities of Pakistan will be connected by Motorway.
The project will be completed in a short period of thirty months under ‘Public Private Partnership’.
Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Shehbaz Sharif said that the government is working to promote public-private partnership for development projects to accelerate economic growth in the country.
“After the completion of this project, the connectivity of North with South to be completed,” the he said, adding that this project was unnecessarily delayed by the previous government.
The premier said that the coalition government is committed to bring development and prosperity in all deprived areas of the country including Balochistan and Sindh.
Regarding rehabilitation work for flood-affected people, the Prime Minister reiterated his resolve to utilize all available resources for this purpose.
Sharif further added that, “Gwadar Port project will also be operationalized soon as development of country is incomplete without progress in Balochistan”.
