The premier was scheduled to announce Gilgit-Baltistan Integrated Development Plan during his day-long visit to Gilgit today.
Imran Khan was expected to make an important statement regarding granting Gilgit-Baltistan the status of a provisional province of Pakistan.
Besides announcing development package, the Prime Minister had to address a public meeting at Chief Minister Secretariat.
However, the development package includes clean energy, transport, communication, health, infrastructure, water supply and tourism for the region.
Earlier in March, Imran Khan approved the historic Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Integrated Development Plan.
