Star-studded Bridal Couture Week 2022 kicks-off
26 designers would showcase their best bridal-wear throughout the event.


Lahore: The three-day annual star studded Bridal Couture Week (BCW) that features latest bridal fashion trends was started on Friday evening.
The 20th edition of the three-day fashion event was held at a local hotel in Lahore. The lounge was elegantly decorated with flowers and lights. A huge number of fashion experts, guests and celebrities showed up to grace the evening.
26 designers would showcase their best bridal-wear throughout the event.
The first show of the day commenced with spring/summer 2023 collection, ‘Ghar, Gharasti, Gehnay’ by Fahad Hussayn collaborating with Wahab Shah Dance Company. Haris Shakeel’s collection ‘XYZ’ in romantic shades was followed for the enigmatic classic bride.
The collection named ‘Jashn-i-Zindagi’ by designer duo Deepak & Fahad’s highlighted the innovative and extravagant style of the brand. The next designer Shoaib Ismail’s designs was inspired by magnificent royal family and paid the homage to the charisma of Ali Adil Shah’s daughter Shehar Bano and named his collection as ‘Shehar Bano’.
Fashion designer Haider Ali exhibited his modern collection ‘Bazgha’ depicting the rich culture of Pakistan.
The second show of day one started with ‘Mehrunisa’ of designer Kanwal Malik who fashioned the luxurious fabric with embroidered skills making it a perfect combination of art and skillful workmanship.
The next in the line designer was Munib Nawaz with collection called ‘Untitled’ referring to undone things yet looks perfect. Reema Ahsan’s collection ‘Ishq’, embodied the concept of love with the dresses’ enchanting silhouettes.
The designer Zonia Anwaar drew the first day to an end with ‘Maysa’, the tradional bridal couture along with newly launched menswear section.
The amazing line-up of celebrities showcased the collection of different designers. Saboor Aly, Ali Grehen, Risham Faiz Bhutta, singers Hassan and Rahim and Wahab Shah walked for Fahad Hussayn. Shoaib Ismail brought Hareem Farooq and singer Sehar Gul to walk on the ramp while Minal Khan walked for Haris Shakeel.
Saad Kanwal and Saad Qureshi were the show-stoppers for Ali Haider whereas Ayeza Khan graced the collection of Kanwal Malik. Remma Ahsan’s collection was allured by Kubra Khan while super model Mehreen Syed and singer Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch aka ‘QB’ walked for Zonia Anwaar.
