Federal government will issue the notification as soon as it receives governor’s order.

Lahore: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Thursday stated that an official notification to de-notify Chief Minister Parvez Elahi will be issued today.
While speaking to media outside Punjab Governor House, the federal minister stated that the notification to summon an assembly session for the election of the new Punjab Chief Minister had been issued, adding that, “If Parvez Elahi fails to obtain the vote of confidence, there is a possibility of de-notifying him from his CM post; after Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman passes declaration”.
“In this regard, Federal ministers have consulted with legal experts and Attorney General Ishtar Ausaf,” he added.
“Baligh-ur-Rehman can also request the premier to impose governor rule in Punjab; seeking bureaucracy to act upon the law and constitution,” said Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader.
“The governor is using his powers under the Constitution,” he said, adding that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) cannot defy it.
The senior PMLN leader said that the federal government will issue the notification as soon as it receives the governor’s order, adding that "Governor Rule in Punjab can be imposed for two months".
"Once Pervaiz Elahi is de-notified, Hamza Shahbaz would probably be the expected candidate for the slot," the home minister said, revealing that PML-N has not shortlisted any name for Punjab Chief Minister's post.
Yesterday, the federal government directed concerned authorities to deploy the paramilitary Rangers and Frontier Constabulary (FC) for the assistance of the police force outside Lahore’s Governor House.
The deployment will remain in place until further notice.
