Out of 38 holidays, 16 will be public and two of them will be on Sunday, while 22 holidays are optional.


Islamabad: The Cabinet Division Monday issued the notification for 38 public and optional holidays for the year 2023.
People can enjoy the public and optional holidays on different Muslim and minorities’ festival in Pakistan for 2023.
Out of 38 holidays, 16 will be public and two of them will be on Sunday, while 22 holidays are optional.
The government has issued the specific Bank Holidays also. However, it is pertinent to mention that these days the banks will remain closed for the public but not for the employees.
The notification for dates of Muslim festivals will be issued separately by the Cabinet Division because the holidays are based on moon’s appearance.
