The Prime Minister also inaugurated the new building of the Government Boys Secondary School Killi Jaya Khan.


Sohbatpur: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Wednesday announced to establish 12 Danish schools in Balochistan with solar power installation that will be inaugurated on March 23.
While addressing the local officials in Sohbatpur, the Prime Minister said that in 2008 Danish schools were established in remote areas of Punjab, the orphan students who studied in Danish schools are getting higher education in foreign countries including America. Children in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan do not have access to general education, we have to provide higher education to every child.
Shedding light on the flood situation, the premier said that this was his second visit to Sohbatpur, when he first came there, the entire area was submerged in water, adding that it was not easy to deliver food and other goods, he had never seen such a flood in his life.
He stated: “After seeing the flood situation, I used to think how these people will go to their homes. At that time, our agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was broken.
Shehbaz Sharif added that there is no doubt the inflation is on the rise, they are spending billions of dollars to procure wheat, and the flood has increased the challenge.
The federal government had spent more than 100 billion rupees and several hundred billion more for the flood victims are required.
The Prime Minister said they will not rest till the completion of task of reconstruction and rehabilitation of the flood-affected areas.
Shehbaz Sharif said the federal and provincial governments worked relentlessly and collectively to provide emergency relief and humanitarian assistance to the affected population in the wake of unprecedented floods.
During the visit to Sohbatpur district, Shehbaz Sharif met the flood victims, while the officials briefed him on the rehabilitation works and the steps taken so far by the National Disaster Management Authorities (NDMA).
On the occasion, the Prime Minister also inaugurated the new building of the Government Boys Secondary School Killi Jaya Khan.
