Comedian Majid Jahangir passes away in Lahore
The actor’s son stated that the legendary comedian will be laid to rest in Karachi.


Lahore: The comedy play Fifty Fifty’s famous comedian Majid Jahangir has passed away after prolonged illness, his family confirmed on Wednesday.
The actor’s son, Fahad Majid, stated that the legendary comedian will be laid to rest in Karachi.
Majid suffered injuries when he fell from his bed and his spine got fractured last month. He was also suffering from respiratory disorder that got worse in recent times.
Jahangir was admitted to a hospital when he was critically ill in Lahore in November, 2020.
He lost the partial movement of his body to paralysis about five years ago and was getting treated in intense care unit (ICU) of a hospital in Lahore.
Majid Jahangir was granted with Pride of Performance Award for his performance in ‘Fifty Fifty’. He worked for 22 years for Pakistan Television Network (PTV) and also performed in four movies.
