Is Jahangir Tareen leaving PTI and joining PPP?
Karachi: Former PTI secretary-general and PM Imran Khan’s old friend Jahangir Tareen will meet ex-president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Karachi next week and may leave the PTI and join PPP, said Shehla Raza.
However, Mr Tareen refuted such reports of joining the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

In a Tweet, Sindh Assembly Ex-Deputy Speaker said Mr Tareen had met PPP leader Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood, following which he will meet the former president in Karachi. "I think he will leave PTI and join PPP along with his aides during the meeting."
“If this happens, then neither Buzdar nor Niazi will survive,” she said while referring to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
However, Tareen quickly dismissed the report as “propaganda against me”. “There is no truth in reports about me meeting with PPP leaders or joining the PPP,” he said. “Those running fabricated stories against me will face disappointment.”
Meanwhile, the FIA has once again summoned Tareen and his son Ali Tareen on April 9, with the former being called in for two cases, while the latter, only about one case.
FIA said it had sent the notice to Tareen to answer charges of financial fraud, and if he fails to appear in the investigation agency's Lahore office this time, it will be considered that he has no concrete answer for the charges against him.
