Wrist spinner Zahid Mahmood has been named as Shadab Khan’s replacement for the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.

The series is scheduled to be played from 21-25 April in Harare, while Fakhar Zaman will stay with the side for the T20Is in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Zahid was originally named in the two-Test squad against Zimbabwe, while Fakhar was initially named for the ODIs.
Both the changes were approved by the national selection committee at the request of the team management.
It may be recalled that Shadab Khan was injured in the second ODI against South Africa in Johannesburg due to a ball hitting his left arm.
After suffering an injury, Shadab Khan underwent an X-ray in which he was diagnosed with an intraarticular communicated fracture. The all-rounder was offered rehab for four weeks, which has ruled him out of cricket for some time.

Shadab Khan has troubling issues with injury for the past year or so due to which his form hasn't been great due to that. He suffered a toe injury in the 2nd ODI and is now set to miss the remaining tour.
Along with Zahid Mahmood, it has been decided to keep Fakhr Zaman with the T20 squad for his excellent form in the series against South Africa.
Fakhr Zaman has not been included in the T20 squad before.
At the request of the team management, the selection committee has approved both the changes in the squad.
The three-match T20 series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be played in Harare from April 21 to 25, after which the two teams will face each other in a Test match.
