The latest reports say that Dogar has been arrested for his alleged role in hooliganism and fight at the premises of district level office of the Election Commission of Pakistan but the police say they have not arrested Dogar rather he has surrendered himself before the law.


Multan: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Amir Dogar was arrested his residence in Multan on Wednesday.
The the police arrested Dogar over his alleged role in fight at the district level office of Election Commission of Pakistan in Multan.
The police started this operation after the ECP wrote a letter to it, with directives to take action against all those involved in hooliganism at the district level office of the election watchdog.
The sources said that 11 other members of the party were also detained along with former MNA Amir Dogar while the police were checking the CCTV footage to identify the suspects involved in the hooliganism.

According to the police, Amir Dogar himself came to the police along with the arty workers to surrender before the law.
Reacting to arrest of Amir Dogar, Fawad Chaudhary said that it was highly condemnable.
He said that it was the beginning of the PTI’s “Jail Bharo Tehreek” announced by former Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that the recent action against the PTI workers in Multan was an evidence of the biased mindset of the caretaker Punjab Chief Minister.
“Mohsin Naqvi, the son of Zardari, is the caretaker chief minister in Punjab and therefore, these actions are being taken against us,”.
The fight erupted at district level office of ECP when the nomination papers were being filed for the by-polls.
