ICC fines Ravindra Jadeja for violating code of conduct

Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) Saturday fined Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for violating the code of conduct.
Ravindra Jadeja violated the ICC code of conduct by applying cream on his finger during the match.

The all-rounder had also been given one demerit point.
Jadeja was found guilty of rupturing the ICC Code of Conduct for not informing the field umpires after the cricketer admitted applying match cream during the match.
Before this, the Indian team management stated that he applied the cream due to swelling in the finger.
It is pertinent to note that India defeated Australia by an innings and 132 runs in the first Test match.
