WhatsApp Beta Info, a website that monitors WhatsApp activities tweeted that WhatsApp voice and video calls are now available on the desktop for all users.

WhatsApp has also updated its status to inform users of new features related to the desktop version of WhatsApp.

Last month, WhatsApp confirmed that it would soon introduce a voice and video calls feature on the desktop version.

Earlier, amid the rising trend of a novel coronavirus, WhatsApp has come up with a new pack of stickers titled ‘Vaccines for All’ to encourage its users to get Covid-19 jabs, appreciating the efforts put out by the health workers during a global outbreak.

As per sources, the sticker pack released by WhatsApp has been developed in close collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO).

The messaging app is also in touch with more than 150 federal, provincial and local governments in the world to provide accurately, verified Covid related information to its users.

Through its Twitter handle, the messaging app announced its partnership with the WHO to launch the sticker pack.

WhatsApp in a blog on its website stated, “We hope these stickers offer people a fun and creative way to connect and privately express the joy, relief, and hope they feel about the possibilities the Covid-19 vaccines offer, and to show their appreciation for the healthcare heroes who have continued their life-saving work during this long and difficult time”.

It further added, “As the pandemic enters a new phase in many countries, governments are using these helplines to connect citizens privately to accurate vaccine information and registration, in countries such as Indonesia, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, and India”.

As per the report, in Indonesia, 500,000 medical workers registered for their vaccine appointments on this service in its first five days.
