Marriyum criticizes Imran Khan after witness against PM Shehbaz turned hostile

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Israr Saeed was forced to testify against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Ashiyana Housing Scheme scam, saying that truth had become clear before the whole nation.

Marriyum Aurangzeb lashed out at Imran Khan for making fake cases against the PML-N leadership and members of the other political parties.

She stated that PML-N leaders and many others including Faryal Tarlpur were arrested in different cases.  From Shehbaz Sharif to Marriyum Nawaz and other leaders were arrested and put into the jails but they all faced the cases.

“Shehbaz Sharif spent 2490 days in jail and suffered a lot,” said Marriyum.

“Why don’t you appear before he courts now? There are many cases pending before the courts but you are not filing replies. We all faced the cases and underwent jails,” said the minister while addressing a fiery press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday.

“you used to praise General Bajwa but later you took U-turn and called him ‘super king but you are super corrupt if he was super king,” said Marriyum Aurangzeb.

The reaction came after Israr Saeed, a witness in Ashiyana Housing Scheme Scam, turned hostile before the court, saying that “he was forced to testify in the case and was made witness forcefully,”.

Marriyum Aurangzeb questioned Imran Khan as to why he was not appearing before the courts simply on the ground that he had ‘problem’ with his leg.

 “Where is that cypher now? You played with the foreign policy. People should notice you while taking U-turn this time again. You claimed there was an international conspiracy,” said the federal minister, accusing Khan of damaging the foreign policy.

 “You have shaken the foundation of this country and destroyed its economy,” said Marriyum, claiming that “you used selected judges for fake cases but you know it is the nation and people who have suffered,”.

“Why did you fail to prove the cases against your political opponents? You are thief by yourself,” said he minister, asking him why did he not appear before the Lahore High Court (LHC).

A few days ago, she said, he called other opponents ‘thief’ but now he himself was not appearing before the court.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the truth had come clear before the pubic. She stated that Israr Saeed was threatened to testify against Shehbaz Sharif and others.
