Islamabad: Pakistan has reported more than 5000 Covid-19 cases as the third wave of the pandemic continued to rage across the country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 5,139 cases of coronavirus were reported while 100 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 15,329.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 715,968.
As many as 591,145 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,204 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 245,923 in the province with 6,908 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 268,284 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,523.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 97,318 in the province with 2,586 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 20,178 confirmed cases while 213 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 14,260 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 395. On the other hand, there are 5,103 cases in GB with 103 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 64,902 cases in the capital city while 601 people have lost their lives.
