Multan: Multan Sultans  won the match  by nine wickets  in the ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League 8 at Multan Stadium on Wednesday.

Quetta Gladiators set the target of 111 runs after Sultans won the toss and decided to bowl first in the third match of the mega event.

Sultans led by Rizwan calmly played and chased the target while 39 balls were remaining.

It is the first wictory of Multan Sultans in the tournamnet as earlier they lost to Lahore Qalandars against just one run.

Rilee Rossouw played excellent and his sixes materialized the successful chase.

Muhammad Rizwan, the skipper of Sultans, said, " A win is a win and a team is very happy when they achieve it. The way we planned, we bowled exactly in that manner. You try to assess the conditions. They had three pacers and two off-spinners. We did not have to be rash today,".

He also said, "The way Rossouw started and finished was brilliant. Dahani will be a big miss. Our bowlers are inexperienced but if they can bowl this way, they can make a name for themselves,".

On other hand, Sarfraz Ahmed, the skipper of Gladiators, was of the view, " We could not start well. In the first 10 overs, we could not get going. We should give credit to the way they bowled. Hopefully we can bounce back in the matches that remain. We have plenty of pace (in the bowling attack) but if we don't bowl in the right areas, we will not be able to pick wickets,".

However, Shahnawaz Dahani of Multan Sultans was ruled out of the PSL after he got injured in the opening match of HBL PSL 8.
