Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has commended the revamp of Khyber Teaching Hospital.

Taking to twitter, PM shared pictures of the hospital and wrote that Khyber Teaching Hospital has been totally revamped and modernized after a lot of effort.
He further said that it is easy to build a new state-of-the-art hospital but very difficult to fix our existing government hospitals.
“I want to congratulate the KTH Board and management for their efforts,” the premier concluded.

In December, six Covid-19 patients at the KTH in Peshawar died due to a lack of timely supply of oxygen. Out of the six patients, five patients admitted to the hospital's coronavirus ward while one was in the intensive care unit (ICU).
The hospital failed to receive its regular hospital supply from Rawalpindi on time, leading to the death of the critically ill patients, he added.
Later, seven officials of Khyber Teaching Hospital including the medical facility’s director were suspended after an inquiry report found them negligent in performing their duties.
