Lahore:  A purported audio clip of telephonic conversation between former PTI Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid and former Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar went viral on the social media.

Both Yasmin Rashid and Dogar are heard talking about the orders of the supreme Court.  The conversation showed that it was before the SC verdict regarding reinstatement of Dogar.

The alleged audio which surfaced on the social media started with the person believed to be Ghuam Mahmood Dogar saying, “Asslamo Alaikum madam,”.

The woman who is believed to Yasmin Rashid responded, “ Wasalam. Asslamo Alaikum Dogar sb. How are you?  Wal ho [Are you fine?] Tell us good news? Has order been made? What is their plan? I’m just asking,”.

Dogar said, “I have not received the orders yet. Our people are there.  [Daak] File goes along with the judges who usually sign it after the court time,”.

Yasmin Rashid said, “Imran Khan was much concerned about the orders,”.

Dogar said, “Okay, alright,”.

Yasmin Rashid, “I told Khan sahib that according to  my information he could not get his orders so far,”.

Dogar said, “It will be signed till tonight,” . Yasmin responded, “There will be silence tonight. I’m just asking,”.

He said, “God will shower his blessings,”.

She said, “I believe that I have asked you a tough question in the start. I just asked,”.

A SC three member bench comprising Justice Ijazul Ahsan, Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi and Justice Munib Akhtar reinstated Dogar as CCPO Lahore.

Both the federal government and former PTI Punjab government led by Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi had confrontation over the posting and transfer of Ghulam Mahmood Dogar as CCPO Lahore last year.
