Govt believes in press freedom: Marriyum
Government is fully aware of problems of journalists, she said.
Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb Tuesday said that government believes in freedom of media and is making all out efforts to solve problems faced by journalists, while talking to a delegation of Murree Press Club that called on her in Islamabad.
The Minister said: “Government is fully aware of problems of journalists”.
She said practical steps are being taken for group insurance of journalists and important amendments are being made regarding the payment of salaries to journalists.
Marriyum Aurangzeb assured the delegation that their issues including training programs and safety of journalists will be solved.
