Lt Gen (R) Amjad Shoaib arrested 

Islamabad: Lieutenant General (Retired) Amjad Shoaib Monday had been arrested from his residence in Islamabad.

According to Islamabad police, a case had been registered against Amjad Shoaib in Ramna police station for inciting people against state institutions.

The First Information Report (FIR) was registered on the complaint of Magistrate Awais Khan following his television interview, under sections 153A and 505 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

He will be produced before a local court later on Monday for remand.
